| Spanish abstract | El objetivo del artículo es destacar la importancia de la conservación de los relatos orales como parte del patrimonio cultural y lingüístico. La metodología utilizada fue cualitativa. Se utilizó una muestra de estudiantes de la comunidad Río Lagarto que identificaran a los cuenta cuentos y entonces entrevistarlos. y también de obtener una representación gráfica a manera de mapa mental de los oyentes, en este caso niños de 8 años de edad, que cursaban el tercer grado de la educación primaria. Los informantes seleccionados fueron adultos mayores de 18 años, y se utilizaron los siguientes criterios para la selección de los participantes de este trabajo: tener la habilidad para narrar (cuenta cuentos), querer participar de la narrativa, estar motivado para narrar historias. Se utilizó la grabación incógnita con el uso de una grabadora digital. Se detectó un número considerable de cuentacuentos, se observó un gran interés por participar y la motivación en los oyentes por escuchar y dibujar los cuentos orales. En la mayoría de cuentos la gran mayoría de los personajes de los cuentos tradicionales son de géneros masculino y pocas de géneros femeninos |
| English abstract | The aim of the article is to highlight the importance of the preservation of oral accounts as part of the cultural and linguistic heritage. The methodology used was qualitative. A sample of students from the Río Lagarto community was used to identify the storytellers and then interview them. and also to obtain a graphic representation as a mental map of the listeners, in this case 8-year-old children, who were in the third grade of primary education. The selected informants were adults over 18 years of age, and the following criteria were used for the selection of the participants in this study: having the ability to narrate (storytelling), wanting to participate in the narrative, and being motivated to tell stories. Incognito recording was used with the use of a digital recorder. A considerable number of storytellers were detected, a great interest in participating and the motivation of the listeners to listen and draw the oral stories was observed. In most stories, the vast majority of the characters in traditional stories are male and few female |
