| Spanish abstract | En el marco de la poesía latinoamericana, el poeta cubano Octavio Armand (1946) representa una voz sólida y audaz que ha apostado, desde muy joven, por la exploración lúdica del lenguaje y la resignificación del silencio y el espacio en blanco dentro del poema. Ensayista, traductor y poeta cuya obra fue motivo de atención por parte de autores imprescindibles como Severo Sarduy y Javier Sologuren, Octavio Armand ha vivido en el exilio desde la adolescencia: primero en Nueva York y luego en Caracas, donde actualmente reside. La presente entrevista indaga acerca de la estética del poeta, sus temas recurrentes, los vínculos que establece entre poesía y ensayo, lecturas personales y recursos estilísticos. Asimismo, esta conversación recupera el tópico del exilio y las transformaciones poéticas que el autor ha experimentado a lo largo del tiempo y a raíz de la vivencia de la diáspora |
| English abstract | In the context of Latin American poetry, Cuban poet Octavio Armand (1946) represents a solid and bold voice that has bet, from a very young age, on the ludic exploration of language and the resignificance of silence and blank space within the poem. Essayist, translator and poet ―whose work received the attention of essential authors such as Severo Sarduy and Javier Sologuren―, Octavio Armand has lived in exile since his teenage years: first in New York and then in Caracas, where he currently resides. This interview explores the poet’s aesthetic, his recurring themes, the connections he establishes between poetry and essay, his personal readings and his stylistic resources. Likewise, this interview discusses the topic exile, and the poetic transformations that Armand has experienced through time, as a result of the experience of the diaspora |
