| Spanish abstract | El presente artículo reflexiona sobre el impacto del pensamiento posmoderno en el plano cultural y las críticas que desde este pensamiento se han dirigido hacia la escuela. La ide a central es que la escuela, como institución clave de la modernidad, ha recibido críticas que se sustentan en su descontextualización respecto del contexto cultural posmoderno. Estudiaremos estas críticas utilizando como criterios de análisis dos rasgos c laves del pensamiento posmoderno, a saber: la crisis de la identidad y la desconfianza en la razón. Por último, se lleva a cabo una reflexión en cuanto a la necesidad de que la escuela funcione bajo directrices que den cuenta de un equilibrio entre element os centrales de la modernidad, como lo son la existencia de valores universalmente válidos y la validez del discurso científico, y de elementos del pensamiento posmoderno, como la inclusividad |
| English abstract | This article reflects on the impact of the postmodern though t in the cultural level and the criticism that since this thought has been directed toward the school. The central idea is that the school, as a key institution of modernity, has received criticism that underpin its decontextualization in respect of the po stmodern cultural context. We will look at these criticisms using as criteria of analysis two key features of postmodern thought, namely: the crisis of identity and the mistrust in the reason. Finally, we carried out a reflection with regard to the need fo r the school operating under guidelines to give an account of a balance between central elements of modernity, as are the existence of universally valid values and the validity of the scientific discourse, and elements of the postmodern thought, such as in clusiveness |
