| Spanish abstract | Se sabe de la existencia de la vulnerabilidad del paciente por problemas éticos y/o legales, lo cual invariablemente se traduce en mala praxis; sin embargo, el término se emplea como equivalente a negligencia; el autor disiente de ello y argumenta al respecto. Posteriormente, para desarrollar el tema, se parte de la hipótesis de que la distinción ético-legal de la mala praxis médica contribuirá a su mejor entendimiento y, en consecuencia, se tendrá mayor oportunidad de evitarla |
| English abstract | The existence of the patient’s vulnerability due to ethical and/or legal problems is known, which invariably translates into malpractice; however, the term is used as equivalent to negligence, and the author, who argues in this regard, disagrees. Subsequently, to develop the topic, it is hypothesized that the ethical-legal distinction of medical malpractice will contribute to its better understanding and, consequently, there will be a greater chance of avoiding it |
