| Spanish abstract | Con el uso del análisis volumétrico se efectúa una cuantificación de las a as concurrentes entre la superficie y la isoterma de ‘5oC en la línea hidrográfica No. 100 de T plan CalCOFI, usando datos del período 1950-1968. Normalmente se encuentra que el 15 o/o del volumen total ocurre entre 14 y 2OoC, el 6 o/ o entre 12 y 140C (posición de la termoclina permanente y el 81 o/o entre 5 y 120C. Asimismo, el 23 o/o ocurre entre 33.1 y 33.6 x 10-3, el ll o/o entre 33.6 y 33.8 x 10-3 (haloclina permanente) y el 67 o/ o entre 33.8 y 34.5 x10-3.La distribución volumétrica observada resulta similar a la estructura termohalina subártica |
| English abstract | Volumetric analysis is used to define the presente and water types between the surface and the 5oC isoterm along the CahZOFI hidrographic section 100. Over the period analyzed (1950-1968) it is normally found that 15 o/o of the total volume occurs between 14 and 200C; 6 o/o between 12 and 14oC (position of the permanent thermocline); and 81 o/o between 5 and 12oC. With referente to the salinity distribution, 23 o/o occurs between 33.1 and 33.6 x 10-a; llo/o between 33.6 and 33.8 x lo-3 (permanent halocline): and 67 o/o between 33.8 and 34.5 x 10-S. This volumetric distributions correspond to the structure of the subarctic water mass |
