| Spanish abstract | Este artículo muestra la significación que tiene la transferencia tecnológica para América Latina y la postura orientadora de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) en este tópico y, en general, en las políticas de Ciencia y Tecnología para el desarrollo de la región. Se muestran las condiciones en que se encontraba el subcontinente a mediados del siglo XX, se reconoce a algunas de las posturas teóricas propuestas que en la búsqueda del desarrollo científico, tecnológico y social, terminaron por engendrar la Tradición Latinoamericana en Estudios Sociales de Ciencia y Tecnología. Adelanta resultados positivos de la aplicación consecuente de ese pensamiento en algunos de los países latinoamericanos |
