| Spanish abstract | Esta colaboración busca demostrar la importancia geoestratégica, política y comercial del Canal de Panamá, aludiendo a la historia de su construcción con los proyectos de Francia y de Estados Unidos, y los Tratados firmados con Estados Unidos, sobre la administración y la posterior devolución el 31 diciembre de 1999 a Panamá, para operar el Canal. El trabajo sumamente actualizado, demuestra que la ampliación del Canal a entregarse en junio de 2016, será una ventaja competitiva, no solo para Panamá, sino para la región de las Américas en su conjunto. Debe recordarse que las inversiones que se están haciendo para la tercera esclusa tienen un origen de capital chino, japonés y estadounidense, que permitirá impulsar y modernizar la vigencia de esta infraestructura, que ha servido al comercio mundial desde agosto de 1914 y que sigue siendo una gran maravilla, en la arquitectura del mundo |
| English abstract | This collaboration seeks to prove the importance geostrategic, political and commercial of the Panama Canal, alluding to the history of its construction with projects in France and United States, and treaties signed with the United States, about the Administration and the subsequent return on 31 December 1999 to Panama, to operate the Canal. Work very updated, it shows that the Canal expansion to be delivered in June 2016, will be a competitive advantage, not only for Panama, but for the region of the Americas as a whole. It must be remembered that investments that are done for the third lock have an origin of Chinese, Japanese and American capital, which will allow to increase and modernize the validity of this infrastructure, which has served the world trade since August 1914 and which follow being a great wonder in architecture in the world |
