| Spanish abstract | La utilización de complementos minerales en el abonado orgánico de sistemas intensivos de producción de hortalizas, es una práctica tentadora para obtener mejores rendimientos y conservar las características y propiedades del suelo. De ellos, la zeolita natural es un fuerte candidato a utilizar, debido a la propiedad de retener agua y nutrientes para luego liberarlos lentamente; es por ello que se hizo necesario determinar los rendimientos agrícolas a la aplicación de este mineral en sistema de huertos intensivos. La investigación se desarrollo en dos huertos del municipio Camagüey, donde se aplicó la zeolita y la combinación de esta con humus de lombriz. Los resultados mostraron, que la utilización combinada de 1 kg.m-2 de zeolita natural (1-3 mm) con 0.6 kg.m-2 de humus de lombriz, resultó ser la variante de mejores rendimientos en una secuencia de cultivos hortícolas, además los contenidos de P2 O5 , K2 O y el % de materia orgánica se favorecieron con el uso de la zeolita natural y/o el humus de lombriz al término de un ciclo de cinco hortalizas, lo que permite la explotación intensiva del suelo |
| English abstract | T: The use of mineral complements in the organic amendments in intensive farming systems, is a tempting practice to obtain better crop yields and to conserve the soil properties. of them, the natural zeolite is a strong candidate to use, due to its property of retaining water and nutrients and release them slowly;. due to that became necessary to determine the influence on yields of application this mineral in intensive orchards system. the investigation was developed in two orchards of the camagüey municipality, where the zeolite and its combination with earthworm humus were applied. the combined use of 1 kg.m-2 of natural zeolite (1-3 mm) with 0.6 kg.m-2 of earthworm humus showed the better yields in a horticultural cultivations sequence,. also, at the end of the vegetables cycle, the p2o5 and k2o contents and the organic matter % were also favoured with the use of natural zeolite, earthworm humus, and its combination, which may enhance the intensive exploitation of the soil |
