| Spanish abstract | El experimento se desarrolló en la Estación Experimental del Tabaco de San Juan y Martínez, sobre un suelo ferralítico amarillento lixiviado típico eútrico, durante el período 2005/2007, con el objetivo de determinar la influencia de la distancia entre plantas en algunos indicadores morfológicos, el rendimiento y la calidad en la variedad de tabaco negro “Corojo 2006” cultivada al sol. Se utilizó un diseño de bloques al azar con cuatro distancias entre plantas (0,25; 0,30; 0,35 y 0,40 m) y cinco repeticiones. Se evaluaron los indicadores biológicos: altura y diámetro del tallo, longitud, anchura, masa fresca y seca de la hoja central de las plantas seleccionadas, el rendimiento agrícola y calidad por tratamiento. Se observó un efecto significativo de la distancia entre plantas para todos los indicadores biológicos estudiados, así como en el rendimiento agrícola donde al conjugar la calidad y rendimiento total la mejor respuesta la alcanzó el tratamiento con 0.30 m de distancia entre plantas |
| English abstract | The experiment was developed in the Tobacco Experimental Station in San Juan and Martínez, on an Eutric Typical Lixiviated Yellowish Ferralitic soil, during the period 2005/2007, with the objective of determining the influence of the distance among plants in some morphological indicators, the yield and quality in the variety of dark tobacco “Corojo 2006” that were sun grown. A design of blocks at random was used with four distances among plants (0.25, 0.30, 0.35 and 0.40 m) and five repetitions. The biological indicators were evaluated: height and diameter of the shaft, longitude, width, fresh and dry mass of the central leaf of the selected plants and the agricultural yield and quality for treatment. A significant effect of the distance among plants was observed for all studied biological indicators, as well as in the agricultural yield, in which the treatment with 0.30 m of distance among plants reached the best behaviour when the quality and total yield were conjugated |
