| Spanish abstract | Tomando como estudio de caso el municipio de Ruiz, Nayarit, este trabajo ubica a los pequeños productores a la luz de la reestructuración del sistema agroalimentario y destaca sus transformaciones y las estrategias con que han venido respondiendo a las situaciones económico-productivas en que están inmersos. En un contexto de crisis del sector agrícola y del sistema agroalimentario mundial, la importancia de los pequeños productores se revela crucial. No se trata de una actividad económica solamente, es un saber hacer que se reinventa puesto a prueba por siglos. Han aprendido a sortear los embates de la política agrícola, así como a negociar (incluso desde sus diferencias), lo que nos muestra un actor colectivo en permanente reconstrucción |
| English abstract | Taking as a case study the municipality of Ruiz, Nayarit, this paper locate the small producers in the light of the restructuring of the agrifood system, emphasizing what have been their transformations and the strategies that have been responding to the economic and productive situations in wich they are immersed. In a context of crisis in the agricultural sector and the global food system, the importance of small producers reveals crucial. It is not only an economic activity, is a know-how that reinvents itself put to the test by centuries. They have learned to overcome the offensive of the agricultural policy, as well as to negotiate (even from the differences), showing us a collective actor in permanent reconstruction |
