| English abstract | This article has as main objective to argue sort and classroom in the measure where it considers an analysis on the society of the eight hundred, its rules of social and moral control. It also brings as point of quarrel poor and enslaved women, free men and its relations with the social structures imposed by the urban life of the Empire. We use as base for this quarrel the Codigo do Bom Tom, adopted social rules first for the Frenchmen and that it was brought for Brazil in middle of the eight hundred for J.I.Roquette; The Carapuceiro, one of periodic of the bigger circulation in Recife organized for the Priest Lopes Gama and some Files of legal documents Crime that in makes possible them to make a history to the “anonymous ones” of history and to identify its social papers |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo tem como principal objetivo discutir gênero e classe na medida em que propõe uma análise sobre a sociedade dos oitocentos, suas regras de controle social e moral. Traz também como ponto de discussão mulheres, homens livres pobres e escravos e as suas relações com as estruturas sociais impostas pela vida urbana do Império. Utilizamos como base para essa discussão o Código do Bom- Tom, regras sociais adotadas primeiro pelos franceses e que foi trazida para o Brasil em meados do oitocentos por J.I.Roquette; O Carapuceiro, um dos periódicos de maior circulação no Recife organizado pelo Padre Lopes Gama e alguns Autos Crime que nos possibilitaram historiar os “anônimos” da história e identificar os seus papéis sociais |
