| English abstract | Through the analysis of texts by many authors, this paper intends to discuss the current directions of the anthropological practice regarding the transformations of the contemporary world. It is about, actually, exploring which dilemmas and new perspectives are being produced in the attempt to approximate the “anthropologist’s living” to a changing world. We will also try to identify how changes in the world scenery – descolonization, globalization – can open other possibilities to interpret cultural differences. Besides, we intend to draw a panorama of the current anthropological practice, pointing the main tensions it faces, specially, in the issue of understanding “the other” and their culture? |
| Portuguese abstract | Através da recuperação de textos de vários autores, este artigo objetiva refletir sobre os atuais rumos da prática antropológica frente às transformações do mundo contemporâneo. Trata-se, na verdade, de explorar quais os dilemas e as nova perspectivas que estão sendo produzidos na tentativa de aproximar o “ofício do antropólogo” de um mundo que se transforma. Tentaremos identificar, ainda, como as mudanças no cenário mundial – descolonização, globalização – podem ser capazes de abrir outras possibilidades para que as diferenças culturais sejam interpretadas. Além disso, temos a intenção de traçar um panorama da prática antropológica na atualidade, apontando as principais tensões enfrentadas pela mesma, sobretudo, no quesito como compreender “o outro” e a sua cultura? |
