| Spanish abstract | La presencia de patrimonio industrial al poniente de la Ciudad de México es algo que se descubre con las herramientas de la historia urbana y la excavación arqueológica en el área. Caso concreto es esta investigación sobre la Fábrica Nacional de Vidrio, que data de la primera mitad del siglo XX, periodo cuando la elaboración de bienes en serie comenzó a incrementarse a nivel global y México no fue la excepción. Con este artículo se pretende dar luz al proceso de industrialización de la producción de vidrio en la capital de nuestro país, recurriendo a un análisis de tipo lógico-inductivo a partir de material arqueológico y de su contextualización |
| English abstract | Urban history and archaeological research are the main tools that we have used to study the industrial heritage that re-mains at the west part of Mexico City, in concrete the National Factory of Glass, which was founded in the first half of twentieth century; a period that was characterized by the serial manufacture as a global productive mode. With this article we pretend to light a candle in the dark knowledge of industrial processes, in concrete the industrial glass production at the capital city of our country. The type of analysis we used was the logic- deductive one, starting from the contextualiza-tion of archaeological materials that we recovered from a theme park make over, the main lands of urban archaeology |
