| Spanish abstract | Descripción de la capilla de la Tercera Orden Franciscana (TOF), de Puebla, que tiene como ejes temáticos: el proceso constructivo, desarrollado a lo largo del siglo xvii; el ornato del inmueble, decorado con yesería, y la riqueza de su interior, para lo cual se identifican sus retablos, el ajuar y las imágenes existentes hasta avanzado el siglo xviii. Para contextualizar, se presenta una breve semblanza de la consolidación social de la TOF y las circunstancias que fomentaron este boato barroco, del cual sólo queda el edificio y su decoración en argamasa |
| English abstract | Analytical description of the chapel of the Third Order of Saint Francis in the city of Puebla, focusing on three aspects: the construction process throughout the seventeenth century; the building’s ornamentation, decorated with plasterwork; and the richness of its interior, identifying its altarpieces, furnishings, and images until well into the eighteenth century. To con-textualize the chapel, an overview is given of the social consolidation of the Third Order and the circumstances that led to this baroque ostentation, of which only the building and its plaster decoration remain |
