Gómez, arterias de gran tradición en la ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo León, el edificio Escuela Industrial “Álvaro Obregón” fue la sede del centro escolar pionero en educación técnica en el estado y el noreste de México. Construido en un contexto posrevolucionario de búsqueda de grandeza nacional, es actual sede de la Escuela Preparatoria No. 3 de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León desde 2001, después de siete décadas de fungir como escuela industrial formadora de generaciones de técnicos; un edificio que con 90 años de antigüedad ha sido testigo y actor de grandes cambios en la ciudad, detonante de la pujanza comercial y vecinal de sus alrededores, y semillero para la creciente industria regiomontana |
| English abstract | Located between the intersections of Madero and Félix U. Gómez avenues, arteries of great tradition in the city of Mon-terrey, Nuevo León, the “Álvaro Obregón” Industrial School building was the headquarters of the pioneer school center in technical education in Nuevo León and northeast from Mexico. Built in a post-revolutionary context of search for na-tional greatness, the building has been the headquarters of Preparatory No. 3 of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León since 2001, after seven decades of serving as an industrial school for generations of technicians; a 90-year-old build-ing that has been a witness and actor of great changes in the city, triggering the commercial and neighborhood strength of its surroundings, and a seedbed for the growing Monterrey industry |
