| Spanish abstract | El antiguo conjunto conventual agustino del siglo xvi con advocación a santa María Magdalena ubicado en Cuitzeo del Por-venir, conserva diversos elementos en su estructura arquitectónica que permiten leer un discurso representado en ele-mentos gráficos labrados en piedra, tallados en madera y pintados en los paramentos de los muros, los cuales datan de los siglos xvi al xx, así como reconocer algunos símbolos propios de la regla de la Orden de San Agustín y su panteón de san-tos. Destacan el Sacramento de Penitencia con su advocación, que representa pasajes bíblicos de la pasión, muerte y resu-rrección de Jesús, y sobre todo conserva cuatro extraordinarios ejemplos: el frontispicio plateresco y los murales El Juicio Final, Tipo de religión y Calvario |
| English abstract | The former sixteenth-century Augustinian convent complex dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene in Cuitzeo preserves a number of architectural elements that permit a reading of a discourse in graphic elements carved in stone and wood, painted on walls (dating to the sixteenth to twentieth century), and recognition of symbols of the rule of the Order of St. Augustine and his pantheon of saints. Key features are the Sacrament of Penitence with its invocation, which represents biblical passages of the Passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and four remarkable examples that have been preserved: the Plateresque facade, and the murals The Last Judgment, Type of Religion, and Calvary |
