| English abstract | In 1970 the federal government instituted the National Integration Program (Programa de Integração Nacional-PIN) with the specific objective of financing infrastructure works with emphasis on the Amazon region, especially for two large projects, the construction of more than 4,000 km of the Transamazonica from the city of Cabedelo-PB to Lábrea-AM and the BR-163 between the cities of Cuiabá-MT to Santarem-PA with 1770 km. This program and its developments have substantially altered part of this region. In order to analyze some of the changes, the objective of this text is to analyze the transformations in the Amazon from the transportation network that was instituted and the divisions of the municipal mesh over these 50 years. For methodological purposes it wasdecided to carry out a bibliographical survey and the generation of maps to specialize the flows and alterations in the municipal mesh. Finally, in addition to the changes made, there is also a process of consolidation of these road axes with flows of motor vehicles, with emphasis on road buses and trucks / heavy trucksthat increasingly connect the Amazon cities with the urban networks ofother regions |
| Portuguese abstract | No ano de 1970 o governo federal instituía o Programa de Integração Nacional-PIN com objetivo específico de financiar obras de infraestrutura com destaque para a região amazônica, em especial para duas grandes obras, a construção dos mais de 4.000 km da Transamazônica da cidade deCabedelo-PB até Lábrea-AM e a BR-163 entre as cidades de Cuiabá-MT até Santarém-PA com 1770 km. Esse programa e os desdobramentos deste alteraram substancialmente uma parte dessa região. Para analisar algumas mudanças esse texto tem como objetivo analisaras transformações na Amazônia a partir da rede de transporte que foi instituída e as divisões da malha municipal ao longo desses 50 anos. Para fins metodológicos optou-se em realizar um levantamento bibliográfico e a geração de mapas para fins de especializar os fluxos e as alterações na malha municipal. Enfim, além das alterações constituídas, nota-se, ainda, um processo de consolidação desses eixos rodoviários com fluxos de veículos automotores com destaque para os ônibus rodoviários e caminhões/carretasque interligam cada vez mais as cidades amazônicas com as redes urbanas de outras regiões |
