| English abstract | In this essay, the author presents a historical-critical presentation of the constitution of the psychoanalytic method of Sigmund Freud. Originally written as an opening class of the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo, the author, inspired by an unexpected aphonia and a consequent identification with the limitations of the creator of psychoanalysis during his first moments of struggle against palate cancer, unveils three questions by which he tries to demonstrate the importance of words as a central device by the time of emergence of the psychoanalytic clinic: who speaks, what is spoken, and to whom is spoken in the psychoanalytic experience. Thus, it is possible to retrace the initial steps of the Freudian adventure and also the formulation of the first important psychoanalytic concepts: repression, trauma, sexuality and transference |
| Portuguese abstract | Pretende-se, nesse ensaio, uma apresentação histórico-crítica da constituição do método psicanalítico por Sigmund Freud. Originalmente elaborado como aula inaugural de disciplina do Instituto de Psicologia da Universidade de São Paulo, o autor, inspirado em uma inesperada afonia e na conseqüente identificação com as limitações de fala do criador da psicanálise durante a luta contra o câncer do palato, desenvolve três questões em torno das quais busca demonstrar o privilégio detido pela palavra como o instrumento central no momento da emergência da clínica freudiana: quem fala, do que se fala, e a quem se fala na experiência psicanalítica. Dessa maneira, é possível percorrer os passos iniciais da aventura freudiana e a da formulação dos seus conceitos inaugurais: o recalque, o trauma, o sexual e a transferência |
