Olympic Judo and Wrestling, between 16 and 18 years of age: a sample of 60 athletes selected disciplines. Venous blood obtained from the antecubital arm vein immediately before and after exercise was used. The determination of sodium and potassium ions was carried out by atomic absorption spectrometry. Plasma sodium concentration increased by 4.20 and 4.49% in athletes of Olympic wrestling and Judo respectively, with signifcant levels only after exercise. The plasma concentration of potassium increased by 12.09 and 14.54% in athletes of Olympic wrestling and Judo respectively, without signifcant diference |
