| Spanish abstract | Objetivo: Se analizó el panorama de la investigación en archivística, bibliotecología y ciencia de la información en Colombia, destacando instituciones, líneas temáticas y estrategias para el desarrollo y divulgación de sus resultados. Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque: Este es un estudio cualitativo de un enfoque descriptivo-evaluativo. El análisis documental se empleó como un método por el cual se realizó una revisión sistemática. También se analizaron los datos disponibles provenientes de los portales web de las escuelas y programas del país y de la plataforma Scienti de Colciencias (organismo rector de investigación en el país). Resultados/Discusión: Los resultados evidenciaron el avance significativo de la investigación en Bibliotecología, Archivística y Ciencia de la Información en Colombia, la variedad temática y metodológica, en razón de la naturaleza, orientación curricular y fortaleza académica de cada Escuela y/o Programa. Tales avances sustentan la generación de conocimiento con pertinencia social y científica, la formación postgraduada y la existencia de revistas con posicionamiento en la comunidad científica internacional, todo ello alineado con las políticas públicas de ciencia, tecnología e innovación. Conclusiones: El desarrollo y evolución de la investigación en Archivística, Bibliotecología y Ciencia de la Información en Colombia se enmarca en una estructura formal presente en las universidades que imparten formación en este campo disciplinar. Originalidad/Valor: Los estudios existentes sobre la investigación en Archivística, Bibliotecología y Ciencia de la Información en Colombia han sido desarrollado por instituciones de educación superior, los cuales muestran visiones algo parciales. | English abstract | Objective: The research on archival science, librarianship and informa- tion science in Colombia were analyzed in order to highlight institutions, thematic lines and strategies for the development and dissemination of their results. Design/Methodology/Approach: This is a qualitative study of a de- scriptive-evaluative approach. Documentary analysis was employed asa method by which a systematic review was performed. Available data coming from web portals of the schools and programs of the country, and of the Scienti platform from Colciencias (the governing body of research in Colombia) were also analyzed. Results/Discussion: The results evidenced the significant advance of the research in archival science, librarianship, and information science in Co- lombia, the thematic and methodological variety, due to the nature, cur- ricular orientation and academic strength of each school and/or program. These advances support the generation of knowledge with social and sci- entific relevance, postgraduate training and the existence of journals with positions in the international scientific community, all aligned with the public policies of science, technology and innovation. Conclusions: The development and evolution of research in archival sci- ence, librarianship, and information science in Colombia is part of a for- mal structure present in universities that provide training in this field. Originality/Value: The existing studies on research in archival science, librarianship, and information science in Colombia have been developed by higher education institutions, which show somewhat partial visions.
