| English abstract | The Velasco palace was one of the buildings of great behavior built at the beginning of the XX century in front of the sea in the urban area outside Havana wall. The urban transformation of the place was favored and executed by the engineer Dionisio Velasco for the construction of his house. The present work approaches the situation of the area where the palace was inserted, the projects executed in the place and some data about the outstanding Velasco family |
