| Spanish abstract | Uno de los métodos escultóricos más originales inventados por Picasso fue el que él mismo denominó enciclopédico, en el que la creatividad técnica procedió con una libertad inusitada, generando una vez más un nuevo espacio o fundamento de representación. A ello debe añadirse la dualidad creativa reconocible en el ámbito formal, por una parte, por la genial aportación de la sorprendente técnica con la que integró objetos reales en configuraciones modeladas en un grado determinado, siempre imprescindible, capaz de integrar densidades y texturas diversas reconocibles en su carácter original y dotadas de un nuevo sentido de la expresión en su nueva función; y, por otra parte, por determinados conjuntos compactos y sólidos visualmente en las réplicas vaciadas en bronce. Hasta ahora no se habían estudiado en su totalidad. El estudio pormenorizado de todas las esculturas enciclopédicas de este período de Picasso en Boisgeloup, comprendido entre 1933 y 1934, que aquí se ofrece por primera vez, sin exclusiones de ningún tipo, permite identificar el origen de los distintos recursos y dilucidar el orden de aparición con su alcance |
| English abstract | One of the most original sculpture methods invented by Picasso was the one he named encyclopedic, in which the creative technique was used with an unexpected freedom giving birth, once again, to new representative space or creative foundation. Moreover, on the one hand, the creative duality acknowledgeable in the formal aspects, must be added, considering the genius contribution of the amazing technique, with which he integrated real objects in modelled configurations in a certain degree, always essential, capable of integrating diverse densities and textures recognizable in their original character and provided of a novel sense of expression in its new function. And on the other, for specific visually solid compact groupings in the bronze castings. Until now, they had not been fully studied. The detailed study of all Picasso's Boisgeloup encyclopedic sculptures of the period between 1933 and 1934, offered here for the first time, without exclusions of any kind, allows the identification of the origin of the different resources and elucidate the order of appearance with their determined scope |
