| English abstract | During excavations at the Reforma 96 site, stemming from the construction of apartment complexes, we recorded the discovery of a series of basins, rooms, and a drainage system that were identified, after archival research, as part of a tannery. The tannery was established at this and other sites at the end of the nineteenth century and early twentieth. The article discusses its history and its owner, a leading industrialist of the time who had the vision to mass produce shoes |
