Spanish abstract Se describe una nueva especie, Corryocactus dillonii Pauca & Quip. (Cactaceae) endémica para los ecosistemas de lomas, Arequipa, Perú. Que se caracteriza por presentar espinas jóvenes amarillentas, espinas centrales cortas y flores infundibuliformes amarillentas. Se presenta además una clave para las especies de Corryocactus de la región Arequipa, una tabla comparativa entre especies afines, situación de conservación según la UICN, y mapas de distribución geográfica para las especies de Corryocactus
English abstract A new species of Corryocactus dillonii Pauca & Quip. (Cactaceae) is an endemic of the lomas formations is here described, Arequipa, Peru. Is characterized to present young yellowish spines, short central spines and yellowish infundibuliform flowers. A taxonomical key for the species of Corryocactus from the Arequipa region; moreover, a comparative table of closely related species, the IUCN conservation status, and an geographical distribution map for the species of Corryocactus from Arequipa
