| Spanish abstract | El presente artículo tiene como fin mostrar el impacto de la Pastoral de la Liberación en Colombia (hoy conocida como Teología de la Liberación) y cómo sus principales promotores, entre ellos los Sacerdotes Camilo Torres Restrepo, Diego Uribe Escobar, Domingo Laín Sanz, Manuel Pérez Martínez y José Antonio Jiménez Comín terminaron vinculados al Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN). La estructura del artículo está compuesta por una introducción con un énfasis en la situación social y política del mundo para los años 60. Posteriormente, se estudia el concepto de Teología de la Liberación como distinción de Pastoral de la Liberación, el proceso de cambio de la Iglesia Católica a raíz del Concilio Vaticano II y la Conferencia Episcopal de Medellín. Luego es estudiado el fenómeno de Golconda para finalizar con un análisis sobre la actuación de los denominado “curas rebeldes” en el contexto de las nuevas concepciones en boga sobre la acción social y política de la Iglesia |
| English abstract | This article aims to show the impact of the Pastoral of Liberation in Colombia (today known as Liberation Theology) and how its main promoters, including priests Camilo Torres Restrepo, Diego Uribe, Domingo Lain Sanz, Manuel Martinezand, and Jose Antonio Perez Jimenez ended linked to the National Liberation Army (ELN). The structure of the article consists of an introduction with an emphasis on social and political situation in the world in the 60s. Then, it draws a distinction between the concepts of Liberation Theology and Pastoral of Liberation; explores the process of change of Catholic Church after the Second Vatican Council and the Episcopal Conference gathered in Medellín; studies the phenomenon of Golconda; and finishes with an analysis of the performance of the so-called “rebel priests” in the context of new concepts in vogue on the social and political action of the Church |
