| English abstract | Studying the origin and development of the School of History at the Universidad Industrial de Santander and its journal, the Anuario de Historia Regional y de las Fronteras, this article analyses the reasons which led the latter to concentrate in themes opposed to its initial mission as well as its interest in a certain period of history. It also discusses the national and international impact of the academic publication and charts a course for its future, returning to the spirit of its founding project |
