| Spanish abstract | Este estudio refrenda la impor-tancia de estudiar a las mujeres exiliadas españolas. Se hace un breve resumen de lo que fue la Segunda República Española, la Guerra civil y el exilio en Francia, con particular énfasis en la ac-tuación femenina. En cuanto a México, se muestran algunas cifras relacionadas con la edad, estado civil, origen y profe-sión de las exiliadas, además del trabajo realizado fuera del hogar, la importancia que le daban a sus casas y a la comida española, entre otras cosas, como una manera de perpetuar los valores de la España republicana y así mantener y transmitir a sus hijos los ideales del exi-lio para que tal siguiera vivo |
| English abstract | This study endorses the im-portance of studying Spanish exiled women. A brief summary is made of the Second Spanish Republic, the Civil War and exile in France, with particular em-phasis on female performance. Regard-ing their experience in Mexico, some figures are shown related to the age, marital status, origin and profession of the exiles, in addition to the work done outside the home, the importance they gave to their homes and to Spanish food, among others. things, as a way to per-petuate the values of republican Spain and thus maintain and transmit to their children the ideals of exile so that it would continue to be valid |
