Spanish abstract | Con este artículo se busca remarcar la importancia de las imáge-nes que se conservan en la Fototeca Nacional del inah, ya que se trata de la memoria fotográfica de los siglos xix y xx, fuente de primera mano y de con-sulta obligada para los estudiosos de la imagen. Rescatar, valorizar y profundi-zar es parte sustancial del análisis de cada toma, como documento histórico, social, y producto cultural. Fotogra-fías que muestran el devenir de una estética capturada por profesionales o diletantes, pero que permite acercarse al análisis de temas, estilos, temáticas y técnicas gestadas en nuestro país, por lo cual, en este ensayo se consideran dichos materiales como “una joya” |
English abstract | This article seeks to highlight the importance of the images preserved in the National Photographic Archive of inah, since it is the photographic memory of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, a source of first hand docu-mentation and an obligatory reference for scholars of the image. Recovering, valuing, and deeply exploring are a substantial part of the analysis of each shot, as a historical, social and cultural product. Photographs that show the evolution of an aesthetic captured by professionals or dilettantes, but that permit the analysis of subject matter, styles, topics, and techniques devel-oped in Mexico, for which, in this es-say these materials are considered the “Jewel” |
