| Spanish abstract | Las imágenes son una fuente imprescindible para la investigación histórica; en mi caso, el de las mexica-nas, pues ofrece información a menudo soslayada por los textos escritos. Sin embargo, sabemos que ellas no expli-can, aunque muestren, que son ellas quienes requieren ser explicadas me-diante documentos y estrategias diver-sas. Su utilización es mayor en el siglo xx, en el que también se ha aceptado historiar sujetos soslayados como fueron las mujeres. En este texto se plantea cómo fue la introducción del tema en nuestro país y se ilustra para mostrar las posibilidades y límites de esa fuente |
| English abstract | The images are an essential source for the historical research, in my case of the Mexican women, because it offers information frequently avoid for the write texts. Nevertheless, we know that them doesn’t explain, although show, they are those who require to be explain by way of documents and divers strategies. Their utilization is in larger quantities on the xx Century, as well it’s accepted depict avoid subjects, like the women were.
