| Spanish abstract | Se presenta una síntesis de algunas investigaciones museológicas e historiográficas sobre el Museo Nacional en la Ciudad de México, durante el periodo 1825-1925; se retoma también la interrelación entre la escritura de la historia y su puesta en escena mediante los dispositivos museográficos. El objetivo es dar cuenta de la tensión que se abrió entre el estudio del pasado histórico y su sacralización en el museo-templo de la patria. | English abstract | This article synthesizes mu- seological and historiographic research on the National Museum in Mexico City during 1825-1925. It also reprises the interrelation between the writing of his- tory and its staging through exhibition design. The objective is to trace the tension that arose between the study of the historical past and its sanctification in the museum-temple of the nation. At the end of the nineteenth century, the National Museum organized Mexico’s historical and anthropological disciplines, where diverse societies and scientific academies converged |
