| Spanish abstract | Se analizan con gran detalle las reacciones del gobierno mexicano frente a la irrupción en la escena política de la Unión Nacional Sinarquista. El autor advierte la importancia de los servicios de información oficiales adscritos a la Secretaría de Gober-nación, dirigida en ese periodo por Miguel Alemán Valdés, en el diagnóstico del poten-cial político del sinarquismo, y también en el diseño de toda una estrategia encaminada a controlar y desarticular dicho movimiento. El artículo nos deja ver la manera en que las palabras y las acciones de los líderes sinar-quistas fueron transcritas y analizadas pun-tualmente por los servicios de inteligencia en México e incluso por los agentes estadouni-denses, preocupados por las repercusiones que podría llegar a tener el crecimiento de una organización de derecha radical en el contexto de la Segunda Guerra Mundial |
| English abstract | This article analyzes in depth the reactions of the Mexican government against the arrival of the National Synar-chist Union onto the political scene. The author notes the importance of official in-formation services attached to the Interior Ministry, directed at this time by Miguel Aleman Valdés, in assessing the political potential of Synarchism and also in design-ing a strategy aimed at controlling and dis-mantling the movement. The article reveals how the words and actions of Synarchist leaders were transcribed and analyzed promptly by the intelligence services in Mexico and even by US agents concerned about the impact that the growth of a rad-ical right organization could have in the context of World War II |
