| Spanish abstract | El proceso de globalización ha estado acompañado de un fortalecimiento de las identidades. Este texto parte de la defensa de los derechos de la persona y de su autonomía como agente moral. Estos derechos son conquistas éticas por defender dentro de sociedades liberales, y también ante culturas tradicionales. Se presentan tres alternativas teóricas: primera, imponer los ideales liberales a los pueblos no liberales; segunda, aceptar el estilo de vida de cada grupo siempre que se respeten los derechos humanos; tercera, no sólo aceptar la diversidad, sino también fomentarla; el Estado tiene que proteger a las culturas minoritarias mediante medidas especiales, pero no puede favorecer a las minorías en cuyo interior no existen las igualdades básicas o derechos fundamentales |
| English abstract | The process of globalization has taken place along with a strengthening of identities. This article features a defense of the rights of the person. These rights are ethical achievements to be defended inside liberal societies, and also in traditional cultures. Three theoretical positions are posed: the first is to impose liberal ideals to societies that are not liberal; the second is to accept the lifestyle of each group whenever it respect human rights; the third is not only to accept diversity, but also to encourage it. The state has to protect minority cultures through special policies, but they can’t favor minorities in which there aren´t basic equality or basic rights |
