| Spanish abstract | El artículo analiza los alcances de la regulación de la libertad de expresión en México, en el marco constitucional y de los instrumentos internacionales. Reflexiona sobre la relación entre libertad de expresión y libertad de prensa, y sobre los riesgos que existen en México para el ejercicio de esas libertades. Analiza la protección penal para el ejercicio de estos derechos, sus alcances y sus deficiencias. Propone la creación de un título específico en el Código Penal Federal para penalizar las conductas que afecten el ejercicio de la libertad de expresión en el país |
| English abstract | The article analyzes the scope of the regulation of freedom of expression in Mexico, in the constitutional framework and international instruments. Reflects on the relationship between freedom of expression and freedom of the press, and the risks that exist in Mexico for the exercise of those freedoms. Analyzes the criminal protection for the exercise of these rights, its scope and its limitations. It proposes the creation of a specific title in the Federal Penal Code to criminalize the conducts that affect the exercise of freedom of expression in the country |
