| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se analiza el proceso de conformación de una Zona de Integración Fronteriza entre Colombia y Ecuador. Un primer factor que se considera es la histórica relación socio-cultural que ha existido entre los pueblos fronterizos que constituyen la actual frontera colombo-ecuatoriana. Analizado en sí el tema de las ZIF, el autor realiza una reseña de los antecedentes de esta iniciativa de Integración Fronteriza en el marco de la normativa andina. Luego se realiza un detallado estudio de la conformación de la ZIF y su ámbito espacial. Al final se presentan algunas conclusiones |
| English abstract | This essay examines the setting up of a Border Integration Regime between Colombia and Ecuador. Firstly the author considers the historic and socio-cultural relation between the people living in the territory that currently constitutes the Colombia’s and Ecuador´s borderland. Another section of the paper is devolved to examine the previous initiatives of border integration in this region and the regulative framework established by the Andean Community. The author examines in detail the delimitation of the border regime between both countries. The paper ends with some conclusions |
