English abstract | In Morocco, as elsewhere in the Muslim world, Islam was the great promoterof educational activities in schools. During the precolonial period, the schoolissue was not interesant for the Makhzen (political power). Apart from specificissues such as aids to the Quaraouiyine University, the majority of schoolslived off the generosity of Muslims with fortune and Public Administration. Itwas taught to read and write the Koran and the other sciences had also itsorigin in the Koran. Meanwhile, Jewish and European schools were developed,while French and Spanish colonizers exploited Moroccan resources with theconsent of Makhzen |
Portuguese abstract | No Marrocos, como no resto do mundo muçulmano, o Islã foi o grande promo-tor de atividades educativas regulamentadas. Durante o período précolonial,as escolas não eram interessantes para Makhzen. Para além de questões específicas, tais como auxílio à Universidade Quaraouiyine, a grande maioria dasescolas vivia da generosidade dos muçulmanos ricos e da administração pública. Os alunos foram ensinados a ler e escrever o Corão. Toda a ciência giravaem torno de uma espécie de teologia do Corão. Enquanto isso, as escolas judaicas e europeias foram desenvolvidas, enquanto os colonizadores francesese espanhóis exploraram as riquezas marroquinas com o consentimento doMakhzen |
