| Spanish abstract | En los actuales momentos se hace evidente la necesidad de mantener y acrecentar el prestigio de las universidades, para que muestren su capacidad de mejoramiento. Esta necesidad permite promover el uso de metodologías capaces de conducir a resultados que impacten en el entorno y contexto, en función de la importancia que el sector educativo posee en el proceso de crecimiento del país. Se pretende diseñar un modelo de evaluación institucional del pregrado para el mejoramiento de la calidad del egresado. Para lograr el mejoramiento de la calidad académica, se deben crear y promover sistemas de evaluación, como tarea ineludible e inaplazable, entendiéndose por Evaluación Institucional el proceso sistemático, dinámico y global, en procura de información confiable para la formación de juicios de valor, de modo que permita elaborar políticas armónicas que tengan pertinencia, y sean eficientes y eficaces para la institución, con la finalidad de alcanzar la excelencia. Se aplicó una entrevista diagnóstica a un experto en el área. El contexto dentro del cual se ubica la propuesta de investigación es la Educación Superior, concretamente en las Escuelas de Economía de las universidades públicas nacionales de Venezuela. | English abstract | In the current times it becomes evident the necessity to maintain and to increase the prestige of the universities, so that they be able to show their capacity of improvement. This necessity allows to promote the use of methodologies able to drive to results which impact in the environment and context, in function of the importance that the educational sector has in the process of country's development. A model of institutional evaluation of the pregrade for the improvement of the quality of the graduate is designed. To achieve the improvement of the academic quality, they should be created and promoted evaluation systems, as unavoidable and necessary task, understanding each other for Institutional Evaluation the systematic, dynamic and global process, in it offers of reliable information for the formation of trials of value, so that it allows to elaborate harmonic politicians that have relevancy, and be efficient and effective for the institution, in order to reach the excellence. A diagnostic interview was applied to an expert in the area. The context inside which the investigation proposal is located is the Superior Education, concretely in the Schools of Economy of the national public universities of Venezuela. The holistic methodology is applied, following its diverse stages, to reach a deep knowledge on institutional evaluation |
