| Spanish abstract | El costo de capital es una herramienta que se vincula de forma integral con el tipo de financiamiento, que tanto una persona jurídica como natural hagan en el tiempo, es decir, el uso adecuado que ese financiamiento proporcione, tenderá a la obtención de un costo de capital óptimo. En términos de tiempo y espacio se vincula tanto al corto como al largo plazo. En esta investigación se asocia con el corto plazo y, en consecuencia con los modelos de uso más frecuente y la calidad que de él se obtenga por la obtención de fuentes de financiamiento acordes con el papel de la inversión que esas fuentes deben ejercer.
