| Spanish abstract | Objetivo. Diseñamos una técnica original para el tratamiento del quinto dedo supraducto del pie. Material y métodos. Se llevó a cabo de diciembre de 2002 a enero de 2005, en 17 pacientes, 26 pies, masculinos 11 (64.7%), femeninos 6 (35.2%), pacientes con deformidad del quinto dedo en supraducto, Se aplicó la escala clínica de Maryland a los 3 meses de postoperatorio. Escala de la AOFAS en el preoperatorio y postoperatorio para dolor, marcha y alineación. Resultados. Maryland excelente en 14 pacientes (84.3%), bueno en 1 paciente (5.8%), regular en 1 paciente (5.8%) de 75 a 50 puntos y pobre 1 (5.8%) paciente. La escala de AOFAS para antepié preoperatorio 55 + 8 y postoperatorio 90 + 5. Con t Student estadísticamente significativo en el preoperatorio y postoperatorio < 0.05. Discusión. La osteotomía LP-INR para el tratamiento del quinto dedo supraducto congénito provee una adecuada alineación del quinto dedo con disminución de la carga de la cabeza del quinto metatarsiano, evita resecciones amplias que condicionan alteración tanto estética como funcional |
| English abstract | Objective. To show that the Osteotomy designed at the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación (LP-INR) with a memory staple for the fifth toe supraductus Congenital deformity diminishes the weight bearing under the fifth metatarsal head descending the proximal phalanx keeps the articular integrity avoiding complications and pain. Material and methods. From December of 2002 to January of 2005, in 17 patients, 26 feet, male 11 (64.7%), female 6 (35.2%), patients with supraductus fifth toe deformity. The clinical scale of Maryland was applied at 3 months postoperative. The AOFAS scale was applied preoperative and postoperative from pain, gait an alignment. Results. Maryland scale was seen excellent in 14 patients (84.3%) good in one (5.8%) regular in one (5.8%) from 75 to 50 points, an fair in one patient (5.8%) . The AOFAS scale for forefoot at preoperative was 55 + 8 and postoperative 90 + 5. With a significantly Student t at the preoperative an postoperatively < 0.05. Discussion. We concluded that the LP-INR Osteotomy for the treatment of the fifth toe supraductus Congenital deformity, provides a correct alignment diminishes the weight bearing over the fifth metatarsal head avoid tissue and bone resection that condition functional and esthetic complications |
