Spanish abstract | El término espondiloptosis es usado para describir una espondilolistesis grado V, siendo una subluxación mayor del l00%. La espondiloptosis traumática de la unión del L5-S1 se ha reportado en mayor prevalencia. Ésta es rara en el segmento lumbar cefálico a la unión lumbosacra. Se han reportado 2 casos hasta Agosto de 2010 de espondiloptosis de L4–L5 causados por trauma de alta energía, ambos con el cuerpo vertebral de L4 presentó un desplazamiento anterior sobre el cuerpo vertebral de L5. Nosotros reportamos un paciente con espondiloptosis traumática de L4-L5 causado por un mecanismo de alta energía. El mecanismo de lesión y el manejo quirúrgico son descritos y la evaluación clínica se lleva a cabo con un mínimo seguimiento de 8 meses |
English abstract | The term Spondyloptosis is used to describe a grade V spondylolisthesis, being a subluxation bigger than l00%. The trauma spondyloptosis binding L5-S1 is reported the most prevalent. It is rare in the cephalad lumbar segment to the lumbosacral junction. Two cases of spondyloptosis of L4-L5 have been reported until August 2010, caused by high energy trauma, both with the L4 vertebral body presented an anterior displacement of the vertebral body of L5. We report a patient with traumatic spondyloptosis of L4-L5 caused by a high-energy mechanism. The mechanism of injury and surgical management are described and the clinical evaluation is performed with a minimum follow-up of 8 months |
