| Resumen en español | Este proyecto quiere ir más allá de hacer un recuento cronológico de las grandes gestas cívicas de la ciudad. Interesa de modo particular dar cuenta del tipo específico de sociabilidades políticas que permitió la aparición de instituciones cívicas y educativas, con el fin de promover el desarrollo de la ciudad como una tarea colectiva. También estudia la injerencia de estas sociabilidades en la esfera pública local, através de los medios de comunicación, de su participación en el Concejo Municipal o en la creación de un importante número de instituciones educativas de profunda recordación en la historia de la ciudad. Este tipo de sociabilidad constituye una forma particular de entender la participación y las virtudes democráticas de la sociedad, al investir a sus miembros del derecho abstracto de la participación dentro de la propia estructura de cada organización y en la definición, en conjunto, de los proyectos de civismo y de ciudadanía. Por esta vía se espera un acercamiento a la historia de la ciudad de Pereira, a partir del análisis de las tensiones o afinidades entre lo público y lo privado. De igual manera, realiza un ejercicio de análisis del discurso cívico que se promovió en Pereira, como elemento central de la ideología progresista que rigió los destinos de la ciudad, durante buena parte de su historia. Para entender las relaciones de poder y de control social de unos grupos sobre otros, es necesario analizar la forma como el discurso expresa creencias, valores, prácticas, consensos u opiniones ideológicas. No se trata de quedarse en el simple análisis de las estructuras lingüísticas o en estrategias comunicativas que se dan en la transferencia de información entre emisores y receptores. La investigación, a realizarse desde fuentes oficiales, institucionales, prensa local y entrevistas, exige comprender que el discurso está relacionado con un universo de interacciones culturales, que le dan sentido |
| Resumen en inglés | In this project we want to go beyond than presenting a chronological account of the greatest civic upheavals of the City. Our particular interest is to give account of the specific type of political sociabilities that allowed the raising of civic and educational institutions with the purpose of promoting the development of Pereira city as a collective work. Also, to study the interference of these sociabilities in the local-public sphere, through the communication media, its participation in the Municipal Council or in the creation of an important number of educational institutions of deep remembrance in the history of the city. This type of sociability constitutes a particular form to understand the participation and the democratic virtues of the society, when investing to its members of the abstract right of the participation insidethe own structure of each organization and inthe definition, altogether, of the citizenship and civism projects. In this way, we hope to be able to approach closely to the history of Pereira city from the analysis of the tensions or affinities between the public and the private thing. Furthermore, we hope to be able to carry out an analysis of the civic speech that was promoted in Pereira, like central element of the progressive ideology that governed the destinies of the city during a long time of its history. In order to understand the power relationships and social controls of some groups overlapping others, it is necessary to analyze the form as the speech expresses beliefs, values, practices, consensus or ideological opinions.We are not interested on doing a simple analysis of the linguistic structures or the communicative strategies that occur in the transference of information between emitters and receivers. Our research work,to be made from official and institutional sources, local press and interviews, demands to analyze that the speech is related to a universe of cultural interactions that is understandable |
