| Spanish abstract | Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), las maloclusiones ocupan el tercer lugar de prevalencia dentro de las patologías en Salud y muchas de ellas son ocasionadas por ausencia de unidades dentarias en la cavidad bucal, consecuencia de retenciones de las mismas en maxila o mandíbula. Es por ello que, los tratamientos ortodónticos-quirúrgicos son procedimientos donde se combinan técnicas quirúrgicas y métodos ortodónticos, con la finalidad de colocar unidades dentarias en posición normal en la cavidad bucal sin causar un daño periodontal, tomando en cuenta el valor estético y funcional de las mismas. Por consiguiente, al decidir el plan de tratamiento se habrá de valorar qué técnica de abordaje ortodóntico-quirúrgico, se adapta mejor a cada caso en particular. En tal sentido, en este reporte clínico se tomó como alternativa quirúrgica el uso del colgajo tipo angular y el mantenimiento de la unidad dentaria 75 en su posición, con el objetivo de lograr mejor reposición del colgajo y preservación de los tejidos gingivales aprovechando a su vez su valor estético provisional |
| English abstract | According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the malocclusions occupy the third prevalence place inside the pathologies in Health and many of them caused by absence of dental units in the buccal cavity, consequence of retentions of the same ones in maxilla or jaw. That is the reason why the orthodonticsurgical treatments are procedures where they combine technical surgical and orthodontic methods, with the purpose of placing dental units in normal position in the buccal cavity without causing a periodontal damage, taking into account the aesthetic and functional value of the same ones. Consequently, when deciding the treatment plan must be considered which technical of orthodontic-surgical boarding better suits in particular to each case. In such a sense, in this clinical report was taken as surgical alternative the use of the torn piece angular type and the maintenance of the unit 75 in its position, with the objective of achieving better reinstatement of the torn piece and preservation of the gingival fabrics taking advantage of its provisional aesthetic value in turn |
