| Spanish abstract | Desde su origen, con el uso del fuego, la humanidad ha utilizado la bioenergía en su vida cotidiana. Durante las diferentes etapas de la historia del ser humano, los grandes cambios han sido marcados por la aplicación de diferentes tipos de energía, incluyendo el uso de bioenergía y biocombustibles como la leña, aceites y grasas, carbón vegetal y, recientemente, el etanol carburante y biodiesel obtenidos de azúcares y aceites vegetales, respectivamente. Para un futuro cercano se contempla la producción de biopetróleo, biogasolina y bioturbosina. La bioenergía y los biocombustibles han sido partícipes del desarrollo de la humanidad y a futuro continuarán formado parte de la oferta energética |
| English abstract | Since its origin, when humans started to control fire, mankind has used bioenergy in their daily lives. During the different stages of human history, major changes have been marked by the application of different types of energy, including the use of bioenergy and biofuels such as wood, oil and grease, charcoal, and recently fuel ethanol and biodiesel obtained from sugars and oils from vegetables, respectively. In the near future, bio-oil, bio-gasoline and bio-jet fuel will be produced using biotechnology processes, plants and microorganisms to obtain these bio-fuels. Bioenergy and biofuels have been present in the development of humanity and will continue being a fraction of future energy supply |
