| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se plantea el problema de la necesidad de contar con una síntesis de la ciudadanía derivada del proceso histórico del compromiso ciudadciudadano en sus diversas manifestaciones, a fin de tonificar la conciencia ciudadana de modo que enfoque la urbe como el entretejido de los ciudadanos y las aspiraciones éticas, políticas, jurídicas y socioeconómicas que solamente la civilidad les puede proporcionar. La investigación está enmarcada en la metodología de historia de las ideas, que consiste en un análisis crítico de las fuentes documentales, a la luz de la doxografía de las ideas en la historia, previamente ordenadas por temas, subtemas y categorías. | English abstract | This paper posits the need to have a synthesis on citizenship derived from the historic process of citizen commitment and its different manifestations, in order to tone the citizen consciousness towards an approach where the city knots the citizens together, and the ethical, political, legal and socioeconomical aspirations that only civility could provide for them. The framework of the research is the methodology of the history of ideas, which consists on a critical analysis of source documents in the light of the doxography of ideas in history that were previously ordered by topics, sub-topics, and categories. The results and conclusions point towards thinking the real scope of the citycitizen problem, among others |
