| English abstract | The reasons or justifications about the presence of Music in the Education, or about the Music Education, point with respect to distinct aspects, which disclose conceptions of Music, of Education and also about ways of life. This article intends to contribute in this direction, based on propositions made by the psychologist and philosopher Rubem Alves (1933-), author of the text titled A caixa de brinquedos. Discoursing about the relations that must be established between the functionality of the tools and the uselessness of the toys, Alves invite to think about the life, including the territories of the Art and the Education, stimulating the reflections and the analyses that however I present, about Music and Music Education |
| Portuguese abstract | Os tantos porquês ou justificativas que alimentam as discussões em torno da presença da música na educação ou da educação musical apontam para distintos aspectos, os quais revelam concepções de música, de educação e de mundo. Este artigo pretende contribuir nesse sentido, tomando como ponto de partida um texto de autoria do psicólogo e filósofo mineiro Rubem Alves (1933-), intitulado A caixa de brinquedos. Discorrendo sobre o jogo relacional que deve se estabelecer entre a funcionalidade das ferramentas e a pseudoinutilidade dos brinquedos, Alves convida-nos a ressignificar a relação com o viver, incluindo os domínios da arte e da educação, estimulando as reflexões e análises que ora apresento, acerca dos territórios da música e da educação musical |
