| Spanish abstract | Existen pocos trabajos sobre la conducta del personal de salud tradicional hacia el personal del sistema alopático y viceversa. En consideración a la coexistencia en México, y sobre todo en el estado de Veracruz, de los sistemas de atención tradicional y de atención alopática resulta relevante conocer las relaciones entre ambos personales de salud. De ahí que este trabajo tenga como objetivo conocer la conducta del personal de salud tradicional hacia el personal de salud alopático y viceversa. Se realizaron entrevistas a 1 personas del sistema de atención tradicional y 16 del alopático, residentes en nueve comunidades del estado de Veracruz. Entre los entrevistados hay parteras, hueseros, culebreros, ensalmadores y curanderos; así como médicos generales y especialistas, enfermeros y pasantes. En general, en el personal de salud tradicional predominan las conductas de acomodación y evitación hacia el personal de salud alopático; y en éste, las conductas de competencia y compromiso hacia aquél. Los resultados del trabajo resultan relevantes si se busca la integración de un sistema de salud multicultural, como corresponde a la población mexicana |
| English abstract | Few works exist on the conduct that exists of the personnel of traditional health towards the personnel of the allopathic system and viceversa. Considering coexistence in Mexico, and mainly in the state of Veracruz, the system of traditional attention and the allopathic system of attention it turns out excellent to know the relations between the personnel health that integrate these systems. For that reason this work must like objective know the conduct that has the personnel of traditional health towards the allopathic personnel of health and vice versa. Interviews to 1 people of the system of traditional attention and 16 of the allopathic system, resident of nine communities of the state of Veracruz were realised. Between the interviewed people there are midwives, hueseros, culebreros, quacks and healers; as well as general and specialistic doctors, nurses and pasantes. Generally, in the personnel of traditional health the conducts of accomodation and avoidance predominate towards the allopathic personnel of health; and in this one, the conducts of competition and commitment towards that one. The results of the work are excellent if the integration of a system of multicultural health looks for, as it corresponds to the Mexican population |
