| Resumen en inglés | In the philosophy of Levinas, the concept of infinite is par excellence an ethical category. The article investigates the possibility to think the infinite as an aesthetic category, choosing, for in such a way, two particularly significant texts for the understanding of the aesthetic evolution of the levinasian thought: La réalité et son ombre and Autrement qu’ être ou au-delà de l' essence. O artigo investiga a possibilidade de pensar o infinito como categoria estética, elegendo, para tanto, dois textos particularmente significativos para a compreensão da evolução estética do pensamento levinasiano: La réalité et son ombre e Autrement qu’être ou au-delà de l’essence.
