Resumen en inglés This investigation is oriented to evaluate the competitiveness of orange producers of Alamo Veracruz, (Mexico) thought the value chain model of (Porter 1982). Also, a revision of the situation in the Global and Mexican market is made. 5 methods of industry analysis are applied and a empirical research is made to 29 producers of orange of Veracruz Poplar are (Mexico); nine independent variables are evaluated: infrastructure, administration of human resources, supplying, technological development, logistic commits, operations, logistic, marketing research and service external post sale. As result of this a high correlation is founded between these variables and the competitiveness of orange producers. Finally is concluded that these producers are not competitive
