| Resumen en inglés | This article intends to analyze the memory of the “normalistas” (students to teach in elementary school) formed in Instituto Sarah Kubitschek (IESK) from the influences of its place of formation and housing. It is intended to elucidate as if it gave the motivation of its professional choice. Pretende-se elucidar como se deu a motivação de sua escolha profissional. Indagar-se-á a geração da memória das normalistas do IESK visando esclarecer os processos que contribuíram para a construção social dessas professoras como, por exemplo, os fatores históricos da feminização do magistério e a conseqüente memória social que leva a mulher a optar pelo magistério |
