| Spanish abstract | El presente texto corresponde a una investigación realizada en el marco del estudio del Derecho Ambiental como asignatura de pregrado en la Universidad Javeriana. Al reflexionar sobre el derecho colectivo al medio ambiente en el sistema colombiano, se exploran los orígenes históricos del derecho ambiental, sus consecuencias en Colombia y las consideraciones para la protección del medio ambiente, como derecho colectivo al medio ambiente sano, en la Constitución colombiana de 1991. Luego de evaluar la aplicación práctica de la protección a través de la jurisprudencia, se afirma a modo de conclusión que la protección del medio ambiente contribuye a la construcción de la dignidad humana |
| English abstract | This paper is the product of the research regarding the study of Environmental Law in the undergraduate Law Studies course at Javeriana University Law School. After pondering the subject of the collective right to the environment in the Colombian legal system, the historical origins and consequences are considered, as well as the considerations for the environmental protection resulting from the collective right to a healthy environment from the Colombian Constitution of 1991. After analyzing the actual protection given by judicial decisions, this paper concludes with the way in which protecting the environment contributes to the consolidation of the human dignity |
