| English abstract | The article aims to briefly analyze the ontological function of the scientific knowledge historically produced by mankind, reassuring that the knowledge thus conceived is genetically linked to the complex of labor, model of all social praxis. In this direction, we attempt to demonstrate that scientific knowledge is basic to the process of transformation of nature in order to meet the needs of mankind, all the while, transforming the human beings themselves. Taking a stand against the current paradigms which appeal to knowledge fragmentation, impoverishment and immediatism, we defend, from the standpoint of Marxian-Lukacsian ontology, that the appropriation of the cultural achievements produced in the course of history enriches the individuals, in turn, contributing to the enhancement of human gender itself |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo busca analisar a função ontológica do conhecimento científico sistematizado historicamente pelos homens, reafirmando que esse conhecimento tem sua gênese articulada com o trabalho, modelo de toda a práxis social. Tentamos, nesse sentido, demonstrar que o conhecimento científico é funda- mental no processo de transformação da natureza para o atendimento das necessidades humanas, transformando, por conseguinte, o próprio homem. Em contraposição aos paradigmas dominantes na contemporaneidade, que apelam à fragmentação, ao empobrecimento e ao imediatismo no plano do conhecimento, defendemos, à luz da ontologia marxiano/lukacsiana, que a apropriação do patrimônio cultural produzido historicamente torna os indivíduos enriquecidos e, assim, capazes de contribuir para a elevação do próprio gênero humano |
